It is our 1st year doing home school. My 9 yr old son is joining Classical Conversations. We have friends who have been using CC for 2 decades with their 4 kids. I can’t wait to start. Glad to see it on your list. Helps me know it’s a good program.

I HAVE A 9 YR OLD, ADHD, WITH ANXIETY. I AM THINKING ABOUT HOMESCHOOLING BUT I ALSO HAVE 3 YR OLD HYPER ONE IN THE MIX. IS THERE A CURRICULUM ONLINE THAT PROVIDES SUPPLIES AND THAT I DONT HAVE TO “KEEP RECORDS” FOR? Hopefully that he could learn and not necessarily need me to sit with him full time?

Thank you for reaching out to us!

We’re excited that you’ve found us and are happy to help you navigate all that we have to offer.

To help you get started, we have a wonderful, interactive guide which is available on our website. This will help you navigate what products are needed and what is typically used for each age group.

Get Started Using The Good and the Beautiful

We understand that not every child will use the suggested level for their age. Because of this, we do not offer grade-specific bundles. By offering items a la carte, it allows you to customize each subject to your child’s needs and abilities. We advise parents to administer our Language Arts and Math Placement Tests before purchasing items as these tests will give you a more detailed look at your child’s needs.

By design, The Good and the Beautiful curriculum does not follow Common Core or the educational standards of any state. The academic spine of this curriculum was developed by compiling all the principles and information deemed important by The Good and the Beautiful creators. This was a very thorough process that took several months to complete for each subject and had input and review by educators, historians, scientists, reading specialists, math specialists, and grammarians. The Good and the Beautiful curriculum is extremely thorough and has high academic standards, many of which go above and beyond those adopted by Common Core.

We believe that children who work on The Good and the Beautiful curriculum consistently each day will find that they are far above public school standards. We have not had people comment about the academic standards being too low; although, we have had people comment that the curriculum is too academically rigorous for some children.

Each state has different rules and regulations for what is required for homeschooling. We would suggest you check with someone at your school district office to see what is needed to notify the state in regards to pulling your child from school and homeschooling him or her and keeping records.

If you are on Facebook, I would also search there for a homeschool group in your area. The parents on those groups are well versed in what it takes for your specific area. You can also check out the HSLDA website.

(If for your 3 year old) While we do not have an online curriculum that includes supplies for a 3-year-old, you may also be interested in the free resources on our website and our blog, including How to Organize a Homeschool Day, as well as our Kids YouTube channel and free Storytime audiobooks.

(If for your 9 year old) The only online portion of our curriculum is our Simply Good and Beautiful Math 4 and 5 that includes videos that teach the lesson. All of our other curriculum is hands on. Supplies that you need to obtain are minimal. You can see a list of our supplies in our free Language Arts 1-5 and Simply Good and Beautiful Math 1-5.

We are happy to review a list or screenshot before you order to be sure you have everything you need and nothing you don’t. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any further questions or concerns and we will be happy to assist in any way that we can!
