The Bible teaches us to seek things that are true, honest, pure, virtuous, and lovely (Philippians 4:8). This applies to all things, even books. Many books today teach children that it is funny and acceptable to make fun of parents, siblings, or teachers, or they use potty language and disrespect as entertainment. At The Good and the Beautiful, we believe that books can inspire children to have respect and gratitude for those around them, while also being entertaining.
The Summer Reading Program from The Good and the Beautiful aims to help make your children confident and happy, sharing their own bright lights with the world. What they read really does make a difference in who they will become in this life. Join us!
With every **free physical summer reading pack (limit one per child in your household), you will receive:
- Summer reading chart—double-sided create-your-own mountain scene with *stickers, instructions, and personal message
- Free Book—specific to each Summer Reading Pack level
- Bookmark
There are four levels of Summer Reading Packs to choose from:
- Out of Stock! Grades K–2 | Includes Flip and Flop Book 1
- Grades 3–4 | Includes The Secret Door: Badger Hills Farm Book 1
- Out of Stock! Grades 5–6 | Includes Violet and the Volcanoes Book 1: The Mysterious Manor
- Out of Stock! Grades 7+ | Includes Lantern Lane Book 1

How does the program work?
1. Scroll down to add one **FREE Summer Reading Pack below to your cart for each child in your household. **Only pay $1.99/pack shipping. Each pack contains these free items:
- One free book specific to the level chosen to be read during the summer reading program or used as the award for completing the program
- Create-your-own mountain scene reading chart with stickers to track progress
- 1 bookmark
or download the FREE Summer Reading Pack PDF below and print out the reading chart, stickers, and bookmark at home.
2. Choose books from The Good and the Beautiful Bookshop or from The Good and the Beautiful Book List to read during the summer. After each book is read, the child will write the book title on the chart and put a sticker on the scene.
3. After reading 5 books, the chart is complete, and your child can receive a reward of your choosing, such as a book from The Good and the Beautiful Bookshop, a camp out in the backyard, an ice cream party, or any other special prize.
*Note: Although you will not receive a free book with the PDF download, you can still purchase the books below that were given away in the Summer Reading Packs. The individual Summer Reading Packs include the following books:
