My 5 year old read these alongside the K language arts curriculum. He would read them to me, to his dad, to his little sister, to himself. He would read 2, 3, 4, and 5 books a day. Each time he read a book I would make a little “+” on the back cover of the book in permanent marker so he could see how many times he read it. His favorite, “Dee and Dix” has over 12 plus marks.
These have helped him gain fluency with the sight words and practice the phonics rules.
Highly recommend 🙂
My little likes the format of this set because it makes him feel like he’s reading a “real book”. The stories are still engaging and he reads these over and over. So glad to keep adding great, beautiful books to our home library!
I find it hard to get good books that have a plot we can read at the beginning level. These are perfect! Easy enough for beginners but more book like than bob books!
My son enjoy reading this books over and over again and each time he finds a new detail or word that makes him come to me an explore beyond the story.
Our Beginner Books series is discontinued and new early readers will be coming to accompany new editions of lower-level Language Arts courses. Box A is sold out and will not be restocked. We suggest the My First Nature Reader for reading practice!
