After looking for clues in the illustrations and reading the prompting questions, my seven-year-old loved to turn the page to see if he deduced the correct animal. If he got it right, he was ecstatic! I liked that this book covered many animals that we might actually see the tracks of where we live so that when we go on walks and hikes, the information that we learned in the book will come in handy.

My kids are always finding tracks on our walks so this book was perfect for my curious kids. They point them out by name now and look for the ones from the book.

I love how this book is set up. It shows pictures of where the tracks were found, what the tracks look like up close, and then has fun questions about the tracks. The reader then guesses what animal belongs to the tracks. When you turn the page the animal is shown in bright pretty pictures and lots of fun facts. I love how engaging it is.

What an amazing story! The illustrations were well done, and the book was written with such great “clues” that it made us want to keep reading. Very well done!

What a delightful book! My boys and I loved the detective feel of this non-fiction book. We enjoyed reading it from cover to cover, but this book will continue to be used as a companion in attempts to track animal prints found outside around our house. The illustrations and colors are simply beautiful!
