My kids and I loved the stunning pictures on the Caves book. It’s also loaded with interesting facts about all sorts of caves. It takes you from learning about caves to cave etiquette and showing famous caves from Around the wa great addition to any library and provides hours of learning!
We really enjoyed reading this book aloud together–I had a child on each side and children squished in behind the couch where I was sitting so that they could see the beautiful photos as we read about interesting types of caves. We all learned something new, and my kids ages 5-14 were all captivated by the descriptions in the book.
Caves: The Underground Wilderness is a very thorough and in depth look at caves from around the world. We were completely absorbed in all of the amazing places we were able to see in this book. There is a nice mix of facts and stories that helped keep our interest.
Our bucket list of places to visit just grew. We haven’t checked out any caves yet, but since this book really piqued our interest, we’re going to look into what we can find locally. After seeing the amazing photographs on each page and reading about all the neat kinds of caves that exist around the world, we are eager to see some ourselves!
