This is a fun picture book filled with facts kids may not know about cats and dogs. The pictures are amazing and cute and it’s a book kids will come back to as they wonder about these great animals we have as pets.
The cats and dogs pictured in this book are incredibly cute! My children pored over the images for a long time after I finished reading this book to them. Also, the facts were fascinating; for example, my children were impressed to learn that dogs can smell one hundred thousand times better than a person and that cats have fives toes on their front paws and just four on their back paws. My kids hadn’t noticed that on our kitten, so they went out to see for themselves and came back amazed it was true, haha! In short, this is a fun book!
I can read it all by myself! Young readers will be excited to learn about two of their favorite animals in this adorable, fact-filled book. Cute photographs of real kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs will fascinate young readers as they keep reading to learn about these loveable animals’ behavior, diets, habits, and more. Facts about Cats and Dogs is perfect for children reading at Level 2, while five challenge words help them stretch their skills.
