We enjoyed looking through this book and reading about different historical floods. The photos are great for pulling the child into the discussion. We added it to Water and our World science unit.

This book was very informative with gorgeous photography. It covers the history of some famous floods in the past century. It is amazing to see the power of water and the damage it can do. It ends with some helpful safety tips of how to prepared for a flood.
My daughter and I enjoyed the facts in this book. I appreciate that it included different times and places. My daughter was interested in the extreme events and statistics included. It meshed perfectly with the Water science unit.
I was so surprised at how much my children liked this book. The pictures are captivating, and it was so interesting to learn about different floods. We really came away with a true respect for nature.
