By Rebecca Borger
Beautiful story
This beautiful story emphasizes faith in God during trials. The characters are kind and lovely. The story is interesting, taking place in England during World War 2. I definitely grew morally after reading this.
Absolutely lovely
A charming tale of children evacuated to the English countryside during WW2. A working faith is beautifully integrated throughout the story as a lovely example of how God helps us through trying times.
Beautiful Story!
I Just Love It!
Level 5
When the threat of World War II presses against England, Jane and Henry must evacuate from London to the countryside. As they step from the platform and their mother’s loving embrace onto the train that will take them far away into an unknown future, the children hope they will stay together and bravely face whatever awaits them. Finding themselves at Orchard Glen Farm, Jane and Henry learn much more than just what it means to live in a place so different from London; they encounter God’s love and find strength to face their deepest fears.
