This is a very fun chapter book that tells a meaningful story. Josh wants a bird and finds the way to accomplish his goal. I loved the way little lessons were taught as we learn that work gives us rewards, and kindness and thinking of others may have unexpected results! I can recommend this story to everyone of all ages!
I read this book to my grandson and we both absolutely loved it. It reminded me of my own son and the love that he had for his bird when he was a child. I recommend this book to anyone who has a child who loves animals.
My son reads out loud as part of his daily lessons. This one made him laugh throughout the story. He finished it in one sitting since he didn’t want to stop.
Such a fun little book and it’s great for helping build confident readers.
Josh wishes he could fly with the birds, but getting his very own bird would be pretty great too! Mom says he can have one if he learns how to take care of birds, and if he earns the money to buy it himself. Josh learns all he can about birds, works hard at his chores, and becomes even better friends with his neighbors, all the while preparing to welcome his new bird home.
