My 7-year-old read this book to me aloud as part of his Language Arts reading. We really enjoyed this cute and funny story. The book comes in A4 size with lots of illustrations and large text. There are good lessons in the book, such as working hard towards an end goal, and making allowances for others’ preferences and choices.
All kids love it.

My 8 year old read through this chapter book in one sitting today because she adored it so much she literally couldn’t put it down. She’s spent all day eagerly recalling the details, drawing pictures of the story and preparing a book report for us. Nothing more wonderful than seeing your children fall in love with a good book.

At the end of the lane was an orchard full of crooked little trees. The trees were all covered with little pink blossoms. They were apple trees. In the very middle of the orchard was a house.
The Apple family lived in the city, but with so many new little Apples coming along, their home was becoming quite crowded. It didn’t take long for them to find the perfect house in the country, but it required some ingenuity and cooperation to make it their own.
