Prince Percy and the Big Red Ruby

It teaches great lessons. Not to be prideful and judge others by their wealth or clothing. It also teaches that sometimes you have to admit you were wrong and to make it right. The pictures really are beautiful and it is balanced with enough text to start kids on the path toward reading books without pictures. My two kids (6 and 8) enjoyed it and so did I.

I had two kids read this and they both loved it. My daughter (8) says it is fun and interesting. She also asked that we get some more like it. My son (9) said it has good morals about not being prideful and it reminded him of the scriptures. He said it was a good book and he enjoyed it. It caught their interest and is enjoyable for them they liked that it was easier for them to read.

Both my daughter and I loved this book. It is so sweet and I love the art work. We read it together and each chapter made guesses what was going to happen next.

This is excellent for reading aloud, as well as independent reading. The lesson taught in this story is fitting for the entire family, k-12+. The plot twist is very unexpected and really captivates even an older audience. Boys will appreciate a male character to identify with, but girls will equally enjoy the highly engaging story. This brought tears to my adult eyes.
