My 8yo Daughter just read this. She pulled a face at first, seeing the larger type, thinking it was possibly too young for her. She soon took that back saying it was one of the best books she’s read! Her words to me were “mum please I want more Sue books” and describes it as “cute”. She narrated each chapter to me with such enthusiasm and excitement. We love the illustrations and the way it takes the reader through the seasons with lovely little stories about Sue and her Mum (Mom, I’m Aussie 😆).
Great book, highly recommend 🌟
Sue In All Seasons is a unique book that follows Sue through the four seasons and how she spends her time. The emphasis on her mom spending time with her is great. It will be a keepsake with the hard cover, quality pages, and ribbon book mark.
My daughter and I loved reading this book together. Beautifully illustrated and I love that the book is hardback with a bookmark ribbon.
This is a great little book. I love the quality hardcover, binding, ribbon bookmark, and thick pages, as well as the size–perfect for small hands! The story follows Sue throughout the year and reflects a diverse community and uplifting relationships with friends and family. My 7 year old son really liked it, as well as my 10 year old daughter, even though it’s below her reading level. She still thought the stories were interesting and cute.
As others have said, we loved the size, the hard cover and the bookmark, perfect for young readers. My 7 year old boy turned his nose up at this book at first, I think because it features a girl, but he ended up reading it and told me that he really liked it. I liked the sweet, gentle messages woven into the seasons That promote kindness, faith, and love of people and nature.
With every season, seven-year-old Sue finds a new adventure. From milk carton boat races in the summer to sledding and hot cocoa in the winter, Sue, her mom, and her kitten, Miffy, always have something to do! Follow Sue through the seasons as she learns more about this beautiful world, family, and gratitude.
168 pages, hardcover, ribbon bookmark, illustrated by Nadia Gorski
