Cute story. My daughter enjoyed this book. She says this pony sounds nicer than her pony 😂. She enjoyed this book because it is similar to where we live and she feels happy riding her pony like Roberta.

My daughter loves this book! She is only five but we have read this book to her many times. She packs it around and it is a bedtime favorite. It’s a must for any little horse loving girl.

Poor Roberta has been ill for months, and her parents are desperate to help her get well again. At the doctor’s suggestion, Farmer John buys his sick daughter something she has always wanted: a pony! As Roberta’s condition rapidly improves, it is clear to all that the girl and her new pony, which she names Sunshine Rose, have a very special bond.
