My daughter and I enjoyed reading this book as a read aloud with the other littler children listening. It has a good story of a girl overcoming hardships that we can pertain in our lives.
It’s so good for me and the pony is sweet to the girl. Yes I would because it’s about friendship.
A wonderful story of overcoming and focusing on dreams coming true. It’s a joy to see the relationship grow between Roberta and Sunshine Rose and their connection with family.
Cute story. My daughter enjoyed this book. She says this pony sounds nicer than her pony 😂. She enjoyed this book because it is similar to where we live and she feels happy riding her pony like Roberta.
My daughter loves this book! She is only five but we have read this book to her many times. She packs it around and it is a bedtime favorite. It’s a must for any little horse loving girl.
Poor Roberta has been ill for months, and her parents are desperate to help her get well again. At the doctor’s suggestion, Farmer John buys his sick daughter something she has always wanted: a pony! As Roberta’s condition rapidly improves, it is clear to all that the girl and her new pony, which she names Sunshine Rose, have a very special bond. As soon as Roberta is well enough, she spends her days riding through the countryside on Sunshine Rose’s back. Dangerous adventures await them, however, as Roberta learns lessons about kindness, courage, ingenuity, and loyalty.
