“A good book. Kind and nice boys. Tells a good story.” – Jake, 7
I absolutely love this sweet story of boys on the lookout for ways to help others. I can’t think of a better message for my kids to be reading about!!
The message is wonderful and my son loves to read this over and over!
My daughter spent several days reading this chapter by chapter. Often she asked to read extra pages just so she could hear more of the story. She loved the lesson on helping others (we often talk about “filling the buckets” of other people by doing good things and helping”). This just enforced the notion. I absolutely love that I don’t have to worry about the kids stumbling on words that we don’t approve of like “dumb, shut up, stupid, jerk” and such that seem to be in EVERY kids book these days. TGTB books are consistently clean and appropriate for loving families.
I love that I don’t have to vet these books and make sure they’re appropriate before handing them off to my son. I’m confident in the content and my son loves feeling big enough to read a story without help.
This was a great book to help my son get excited about reading! He loved the adventure and wanted to be a helper!
What is the perfect solution to a hot summer day with nothing to do? For Gabe and Max, it’s a helping hunt! These two brothers are out and scouting for all sorts of people to help, but in the end, it might be the people at home who need them most.
