Understood Betsy

I read this book, and immediately thought my little sister would love it. It was a simple story that still kept my interest, and I think it’d be great as a nighttime story for smaller children. I also liked how none of the characters were perfect but still had their certain beauties that helped and nurtured Betsy. Complete thumbs up.

Nice book and my children liked it, however, I found it a bit slow or dry at times. I liked the quality of the book. Rating 3.5 stars

I never read this gem as a kid but I’m such a fan now and especially recommend it to fans of Anne of Green Gables. The book is level 8 for its reading level but I’d still recommend it as a read-aloud for families of younger children too.

Beautiful messages in this one!

Great book! It was amazing to see Betsy transform through the story. With the right nurturing, her nature was really able to grow and blossom.

I thought it was a cute book. I thought it was a sweet story about growing up and overcoming fears. My kids enjoyed listening to it.
