You will have to pay taxes upon entry into Canada, especially if you order a few hundred dollars worth of products. The majority of goods that are produced in the U.S. and brought into Canada are duty-free as per the North American Free Trade Agreement. You shouldn’t pay duty on any curriculum printed in the U.S. However, Canada Post charges a small fee to broker your products upon entering Canada.
There are three options to help reduce the cost of shipping:
- Ship the order to a U.S. location and drive across the border to pick it up. There are many businesses that specialize in accepting parcels for Canadians.
- Purchase the PDF files and have them printed in Canada.
- Buy your own printer and print the files at home.
