Kitchen Science

Explore basic scientific principles such as the scientific method, the states of matter, density, chemical change, and more in this 12-lesson, hands-on elective.
Children will use common household items to make marshmallows, ice cream, crystals, a lava lamp, and more in Kitchen Science.

Cooking 1
Grades 5+
Learn cooking basics and gain confidence in the kitchen in a fun and delicious way with Cooking 1. This 20-lesson, self-led elective teaches foundational cooking principles and techniques.
Upon completing this course, children will be familiar with several food preparation methods, kitchen safety, proper ways to use kitchen tools, and how to create flavorful dishes that will leave guests asking for seconds!
