The Typing courses from The Good and the Beautiful are vibrant, full-color books that provide an engaging way for students to learn typing skills. Featuring beautiful nature-themed pages not connected to video-game style learning, Typing 1(PDF) begins with teaching foundational skills such as hand position and posture; how to type all of the letters, the space bar, the shift key, the semicolon, and the period; and leads students up to being able to type words and short sentences. Lessons are varied each day, making learning interesting. The watercolor stickers provided in the back of the book gives students a fun way to measure their progress.

Typing 1 is designed for children ages 7–12 with no or little typing experience. We suggest children start the course at age 7–9, depending on the child and their interest in typing. Continue the student's progress with our next courses, Typing 2 and Typing 3.
