Full-Year History Courses

Our full-color, family-style History Year 1 and History Year 2 courses for grades 3–8 are now available. These highly anticipated family-style history courses for children in grades 3–8 promotes truth, sparks critical thinking, and encourages family interaction.

Each course uses the following items:

  • A Family Set which consists of a History Course Book, a Maps & Images book, and The Big Book of History Stories. Purchase one Family Set per household.
  • Grades 3–6 Student Explorer (one per student)
  • Grades 7–8 Student Explorer (one per student)
  • Optional History Activity Book for grades K–2 (one per student)
  • Time Tunnel Review Cards* (one per family)
  • Time Line Book* (one per student)

*Both the Time Tunnel Review Cards and the Time Line Book are used throughout all four years of history courses. Families only need to purchase these items once.

History Year 3 and History Year 4 courses are currently in development and are scheduled for release in 2026.

Our brand-new full-year History Year 1 course contains 60 lessons. This family-style course brings history to life for children in grades 3–8. Families need one Family Set that includes the History Year 1 Course Book, Maps & Images, and The Big Book of History Stories. Each student needs either a Grades 3–6 or Grades 7–8 Student Explorer. Younger children can also participate in the lessons using their very own optional Grades K–2 History Activity Book. Used throughout all four years of history course are the Time Tunnel Review Cards (one per family) and the Time Line Book (one per student grades 3–8).

Our US Constitution and Government course is filled with interactive lessons; an exciting adventure-filled, full-length read-aloud book; inspirational audio biographies; and much more.

This 32-lesson course, designed for grades 4–8, immerses children in the lives of the Founding Fathers and Mothers as well as the important events and documents that formed America’s government.

Children will gain a deep understanding of the principles that guided those who founded America’s republic, including justice, liberty, duty, and equality.


All materials for the US Constitution and Government course are fully in stock and are not being discontinued.

US Constitution and Government Course Components

Each family will need one US Constitution and Government Family Set, which includes the US Constitution and Government Course Book and Mystery on Constitution Island. Each child in grades 4–8 needs their own US Constitution and Government Student Journal. Optionally, children in grades 3 and under can participate with the US Constitution and Government Activity Book.

**Important Note**

March 11, 2025 the brand-new History Year 1 course released. History Year 2 released October 7, 2025. History Years 3 and 4 are scheduled to release every six months after that.

The original four years of history courses were discontinued in 2024. All complete physical course sets are permanently out of stock. On February 1, 2025, all PDFs and in-stock physical items from our original four years of history courses were removed from the website and will not be restocked. Resources accompanying the original history courses such as Student Explorers and Audio Dramatizations will be available into the foreseeable future on the History FAQs, Helps, and Extras page.
