At The Good and the Beautiful, we have a firm policy that AI (artificial intelligence) is not used in the creation of our products. None of our products contain AI-generated content. As our curriculum promotes the human elements of learning, finding beauty in creative pursuits, connection to God, and strong moral character, we will always strive to ensure children are exposed only to images, stories, and text that are created by humans.
How does The Good and the Beautiful ensure that content is not AI-generated?
All writing and creative content, including our curriculum and Bookshop books, is required to go through a multi-step editing and review process, which includes scanning for the use of AI.
Does The Good and the Beautiful use AI for illustrations?
No! The Good and the Beautiful works with a large team of illustrators—both staff and contract artists—and has long-term relationships with the majority of these artists. Similar to our curriculum process, we also have an AI-check process in place for illustrations.
How can The Good and the Beautiful publish so many resources without using AI-generated content?
The Curriculum Development department staff consists of over 70 writers, editors, illustrators, and designers. We also contract with more than 150 editors, reviewers, subject-matter experts, designers, and illustrators. With a team this size—each person bringing a variety of skills, talents, and expertise to the table—we are able to create a larger number of courses than ever before while still maintaining the excellent content and quality The Good and the Beautiful is known for.
Our creation process is lengthy, but we’ve honed our skills in process management to keep our books and curriculum moving along, and to get them into our customers’ hands as quickly as possible. Products that you see coming out now have been in progress for a long time—in some cases, for years. We are so excited for all that is to come!
