Essential Social Studies Topics Studied Independently

Core lessons teach foundational social studies topics beyond state history such as the Pledge of Allegiance, the US Census, the work of historians, the structure of federal and state government, and civic responsibility. Written to the student, these courses are designed to be student-led for grades 5+; however, the course may be suitable for students as young as 3rd grade with parental participation.
