Such a cute book! Love the Silver Tales series teaching perfect lessons in a great story and beautiful illustrations. Such and awesome book to inspire little ones to be helpful and discover nature and all its beauty and wonder.
Glenn is a sweet boy who just wants to help his family and he figures out just the way to do it all by himself and his pet goat! Well written story and kept my kids attention. We watched a video on making maple syrup after this book!
My kids all enjoyed this book and are trying to convince my husband and I that we need to plant maple trees so we can have our own maple syrup!
This Silver Tales series has been so amazing for my nine year old reluctant reader! He finished this book and proclaimed, “I really like this one!” He loved Muffins the goat and the sugar maples. He says he loves the nature aspects of the book and that others should read this especially if they like nature too. He did take off half of a star because it made him sad that the grandpa died. He’s very sensitive to this topic, but it was very brief and well dome (gentle approach). So happy we added all of the Silver Tales books to our home library!
My son loved reading this book!
Glenn and his goat go everywhere together. That silly little goat simply provides Glenn friendship and laughter until, one day, the goat helps Glenn find “gold” hidden in plain sight. This whimsically illustrated Silver Tales Series story is just right for Level 2 readers who will grow in their appreciation of hard work, family, tradition, and nature’s gifts.
