My 7 year old loved the stories, and told me all about them as she read them. She made up the title for the review. 😉
One of my boys rereads Rags regularly. There is something about the three stories that just speaks to him. Pets, rescue, and caring for one another are all demonstrated in the three stories in this book.
The illustrations are such great examples of another time period in the 1940s. I loved how kind the adults and children were towards other people and animals. It is a good model of respect.
These three stories were such a fun read. My 8 year old and I laughed our way through the whole book. This is a great book for any animal loving child.
Such sweet stories for animal-loving children. There are three fun stories, one about an orphan puppy waiting to find his perfect owner, a sweet story about a kitten who gets lost, and a delightful story about a huge dog and how his boy helps him get the perfect doghouse.
Rags is a sweet but scared dog who just wants a family to take him home from the shelter and show him the love he longs for. Each of the three stories in this book show that adopting a pet is rewarding, but it is also a big responsibility. Join Rags, two playful kittens, and one very large dog to discover the different ways their families are able to show them how much they care.
