Lessons begin with a supply list and an overview of a concept of technique used in oil painting, along with a small activity to illustrate the concept. For example, in Lesson 5, students learn about depth, distance, and foreshortening, and then are shown a collage of classic famous paintings and are asked to note which technique each artist used to create depth and distance. Through the step-by-step pictures in each lesson, students will complete six of their own personal oil painting masterpieces.
