Nursery Ryhme Songs: Row, Row, Row Your Boat

“Row, Row, Row Your Boat” is a classic nursery rhyme dating back to 1852. American teacher Eliphalet Oram Lyte is credited with publishing the song in 1881 in the Franklin Square Song Collection.

“Row, Row, Row Your Boat” Lyrics

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.

As the world sails by,
We see so many things.
We’re so glad, our hearts swell up.
We’ll sing and sing and sing.
