Download and Print Homeschool Curriculum Worldwide

The Good and the Beautiful’s mission is to make homeschool affordable and simple for families around the world. We currently have customers in 67 countries!
To help fulfill this mission and reach families near and far, all curriculum from The Good and the Beautiful is not only conveniently available in physical format, but also as downloadable PDFs, which can be printed or used on digital devices!
Jenny Phillips, owner and founder of The Good and the Beautiful, strongly believes that any family should be able to homeschool their children using high-quality, character-building, family-strengthening curriculum. For this reason, we even offer some of our curriculum as FREE PDF downloads.

You may choose to print files locally or at home. Factor in all printing costs prior to your purchase and compare them to purchasing our extremely low-cost physical items available directly from The Good and the Beautiful. Many families find that purchasing preprinted materials, even when adding in international shipping costs, saves them money.
We have put together these suggestions to make downloading and printing from home easier for you. Please be aware that each printer/system is unique, and these suggestions may not work for everyone.

General Downloading Helps
GENERAL DOWNLOADING TIPS

Files are large and typically don’t open easily on phones! Make sure you have a good internet connection. Any lag in the connection will cause your download to fail. For this reason, we highly suggest downloading directly to your computer, using the most up-to-date version of Adobe Reader to open files.
Some customers have had success in transferring the files to their phone using Dropbox. If you don’t already have a Dropbox account, you can create a free account online. First download the Dropbox app and the Cloud Music app (for MP3s) on your phone. Then add the files to Dropbox to access them through the Cloud Music app to play them anytime.
FREE DOWNLOADS

Language Arts K-8, Math K-6, and our Marine Biology science unit can all be downloaded for free on goodandbeautiful.com/free. After you enter your email address on the webpage, the download should automatically begin.
If you have trouble downloading a free course, try using a different browser or device. Due to the large size of the downloads, we highly suggest downloading to a computer rather than to a phone.
PURCHASED DOWNLOADS

When purchasing digital products, your download links will be available immediately and included in your order confirmation email. Please double check your spam and junk folders if you do not see it soon after purchase. If you are still unable to locate your confirmation email and links, please contact our support team at [email protected] to have the link resent.
Please be aware that mobile devices do not always allow third-party downloads. Attempting to do so will cause your links to expire. Please download the course directly to a computer or laptop first and then transfer the download. If you have used all 10 download attempts allowed, please contact our support team at [email protected] and they will be happy to send a new link.
Also, please note that all PDF and MP3 purchases are final sale and cannot be exchanged, refunded, or cancelled.
Opening Downloads
Most files are zipped to compress their size.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPENING A ZIP FILE IN WINDOWS:
To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, right click the folder and select Extract All. In the new window that opens, Select the Destination for where you would like to save the folder or file. Click Extract and the folder or file will save to the destination unzipped and ready to be opened.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPENING A ZIP FILE FROM A MAC:
Double Click the folder or file. The folder or file is now unzipped and you can open or move it.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPENING A ZIP ON A MOBILE DEVICE:
Download a free app to unzip files prior to download. Many apps are available in the app store. Follow directions in the app after downloading (varies by device).

DIGITAL MUSIC MP3s
All of our music is sent to you digitally through emailed ZIP files. Many have the option to play each song individually or to play them as a set. Simply unzip and save, transfer, or open the files on your phone using the instructions included in this document.
SAVING FILES
We recommend saving the file on your hard drive, flash drive, or cloud once it has been downloaded and opened. This allows continued access without the need to download the file again.
COPYRIGHT
Once you have purchased a file, it is yours to use within your household. The resale or transfer of any of The Good and the Beautiful PDF or MP3 files (including free downloads and paid downloads) is illegal and strictly prohibited. All customers will have to purchase and download the PDF or MP3 versions of our products from our website.
Printing Helps
SINGLE-/DOUBLE-SIDED PRINTING

We suggest that the science units be printed single-sided so that the mini books and other activities can easily be removed, cut, and assembled. All other courses can be printed single- or double-sided.
Always print the cover separately for all courses so that double-sided pages align correctly.
It is helpful to first print only a few pages to ensure that double-sided printing is best aligned for cutting purposes.
LANDSCAPE, PORTRAIT, AND BOOKLET PRINTING

Some of our courses are laid out in landscape format—wide pages rather than tall pages. Each printer and system varies, but some common tips are to choose Duplex Printing, adjust the settings flip on long side/short side, and change the orientation Portrait/Landscape.
Remember to print the cover page separately.
Our leveled readers print best using the Booklet setting with Duplex printing. Explore your printer settings or Adobe Reader helps for additional guidance.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Each printer/system is unique in how it views and prints files. Here are a few suggestions to help you with printing:
- Print As Image by selecting your printer and then clicking on the Advanced button followed by the Print As Image option.
- Print without the cover so that pages print correctly back-to-back. Then print the cover separately.
- Use a different viewer or update the program used to view PDFs. Many people have success using the most updated version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and print courses.
- Print in color. Most of our courses are printed in full color. For best results, we recommend printing your courses in full color to ensure full usability.
- Paperweight and paper brightness affect color. Typical copy paper is 20 lb and 92 bright. For more vivid color printing, choose copy paper closer to 32 lb and 98 bright. (24 lb and 28 lb paper also produce quality color copies.)
