Interesting look into the life of Jean-Henri Fabre. It was so great to read how a simple curiosity, carefully nurtured, grew and developed into a love for and expertise in science and nature. This book is engaging and beautifully illustrated.

This book made it fun to learn about Jean-Henri Fabre. The illustrations are gorgeous and it’s fun to see the bugs creeping and flying through every page. Fabre is a wonderful example of hard work, determination and following your passion.

I’m floored by Jean-Henri Fabre’s intelligence! He seemed to be brilliant in entomology, chemistry, physics, math, and even writing and art. I loved that Molly Sanchez touched on Fabre’s personal life too, which really endeared him to us. The Boy Who Loved Bugs is beautifully illustrated, and my younger children feasted their eyes on each page’s pictures as I read to them.
