My 7 and 5 year-olds love this. They play Pick a Flower (Go Fish) all the time. I love playing it with them, too! The pictures are stunningly beautiful. We were at Costco and were able to pick out geraniums simply by recognizing them from the cards. This totally beats our old Thomas the Tank Engine Go Fish! Our experience with this game as been so positive that I’m buying the Treehouse game. I wish they had this type of game for every other science unit as well. I would buy them all!
This full color book is stunning! I love nature so this book was a favorite! It is filled with interesting facts and gorgeous photographs. The accompanying flash cards facilitate memorization.
We got this set right around the peak of wildflower season where we live. We had been hiking and taking pictures and drawing wildflowers, so my kids jumped right in to learning more about garden flowers with this beautiful book and card game! They loved skimming through the pages of the book to look at the beautiful pictures, and they had fun playing the card game as well. This helped all of us recognize more of the flowers in our neighborhood. The facts about the flowers are interesting.
This book and game are so beautiful. My 12 year old son actually said that the book was “inspiring”! The pictures are gorgeous and the information is interesting and engaging. The games are fun and anyone of any age can play.
I was surprised at how much my children liked this book. They were poring over the images and asking if we could plant their favorites in our flower beds. The games were liked a lot too; even my 11-year-old liked them. Pick a Flower is similar to Go Fish; Sun Hat is like Spoons and was the kids’ favorite. After playing the games just a couple of times, my children were already starting to remember the flower names, which is terrific!
