I had never heard of Michael Faraday but I was so inspired by his story! I appreciate how he connected the principles he learned about science to God. I have a 10 yo engineer that will love it!
I appreciate this biography that creatively teaches about Michael Faraday. My son who wants to be an engineer will appreciate it. This is a perfect book to read when doing the energy science unit or at any other time!
I wasn’t very familiar with Michael Faraday until reading this creatively written biography, so I’m grateful for the education. How refreshing to learn about a scientist who didn’t divorce God and science. I love that Faraday’s lifetime of research and discovery led him to the following conclusion: “The book of nature which we have to read is written by the finger of God.”
If you had asked me who Michael Faraday was before this book, I would have had a blank expression. This book was well crafted, engaging, and allowed us to learn so much about Michael and energy. In fact, after reading, my daughter asked to do more research about him! Really a great book, but an added bonus to any science library.
I love when books for children tell a story and teach a child new information! This book tells the story of Michael Faraday in such an engaging way that the child doesn’t realize they are learning. This truly is a “living book” and will be reread many times.
Michael Faraday’s entire life was based around one theme: a spark. When he was young, his passion was sparked by books and the teachers around him. When he was an adult, he created sparks. As he grew older, he became inspired to spark the love of learning and experimentation in the young minds of the future. If it were not for these small sparks, the world today would not have the same ability to harness and create electricity which fuels everything about modern life. Read this story of one of the greatest scientific pioneers of our time, and perhaps your child will receive the spark he or she needs to become the next innovator and change the world!
