A great read about a great person! Facts are presented in an engaging way and readers will learn much about our nation’s 16th president.
I knew I already like Abraham Lincoln, but this book added to my admiration of him. The book left me feeling inspired to be of high character.
This book was read aloud to my children at night. I learned so much more about Abraham Lincoln. I gained such a deep respect for him as did my children. I also loved that we were immersed in that time period and learned history and culture along the way. Definitely worth reading. I even cried at the end when Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. I knew he was killed,I knew it was coming, but I got so attached to him that I yearned go protect him and prevent his death. A must read!
Very well written–reads like a story. An informative and moving memoir.
I originally purchased this to use in a few years for my daughter for high school. I love Abraham Lincoln so much I ended up reading it myself. It kept me engaged and was very well put.
