The Language Arts Level 2 Course Set includes the Level 2 Course Book and the Reading Booster C Cards and Books Set. The Reading Booster resources teach phonics and reading in a powerful, fun, and sequential way creating strong and enthusiastic readers.
The 120 engaging parent-led lessons in the Level 2 Course Book are open-and-go and were carefully designed to reduce teaching time, yet be academically robust. The course covers over 80 foundational principles, such as phonics, spelling rules, spelling patterns, homophones, reading comprehension, alphabetical order, art appreciation, and so much more. All of this is taught in gentle, natural, and enjoyable ways for the child.
The Reading Booster C Cards and Reading Booster C Books Set are also needed to complete this course.
Each lesson in the Level 2 Course Book will direct you to work on these beautiful and fun Reading Booster Cards and/or Books. The child will go through the Cards and Books at his or her own pace. Once a card is mastered, your child selects a sticker from the sticker sheets in the back and places it on the “Mastered” circle at the bottom of the card.
The Reading Booster C Books Set includes two full-length, read-together chapter books, perfectly aligned with phonics principles the child has learned and that correlate directly with the Reading Booster C Cards. Includes Molly and the Falcon and Wesley and the Wolves. These read along books are designed to have a parent read sections of the book along with the student and are a fantastic resource to build reading confidence and fluency. The Reading Booster Cards will tell you when to read each chapter.
Each chapter focuses on just one or a select few reading concepts, phonics principles, word families, or second grade sight word groups that were just learned on the corresponding Reading Booster Card. The student reading in the books also only contain words including phonics principles the child has already learned. These books can be read as many times as desired for review and for cementing principles.
My Third Nature Reader includes 20 short books for beginning readers at a second-grade reading level. Each book focuses on one or two phonics concepts or a group of sight words.
Handwriting Level 2 is for children in second or third grade. This course is for children with some handwriting experience who are still working on correct print formation of letters and numbers. Words, sentences, Bible verses, and poems are introduced part-way through the course. Text size is eventually reduced in the course as children gain experience with handwriting. This course also helps children learn to spell the names of colors and reviews the spelling of numbers.
