Welcome to The Good and the Beautiful Marine Biology Science Unit
Before You Begin
Our Marine Biology family-style science unit is fun and simple to teach! Let’s look at what is included in your course and how to get started.
You need only one copy of the Marine Biology unit for your family. Make copies of individual pages using the free PDF that was emailed to you after the purchase of the printed unit.
If you use this science course in a group setting, you must purchase a physical copy for each set of eight children in the class.
Please note: If you choose to return an unwanted unit or cancel an order, you will be charged the full amount for the PDF file; only the physical unit is refundable.
Marine Biology Unit Information
Each child needs a 1″ to 2″ 3-ring binder. Fill each binder with a few sheets of lined paper and blank white paper.
Your Marine Biology unit arrived unbound and shrink wrapped. With a little printing, cutting, and assembling now, lessons will be open-and-go when you are ready to teach. Watch this video for help organizing your science unit.
Each lesson includes easy-to-follow directions. For a complete list of supplies needed for each lesson, download the Unit Information PDF found below.
Cut apart the vocabulary words now, so they are ready to be placed on your science wall. The course tells you when to use these.
Lesson Mini Books
To assemble the mini books, cut them in half along the dotted lines, stack the pages together with the page numbers in the correct order, and staple twice along the left side.
Activities and Experiments
Several lessons include hands-on activities. You can find a supply list and instructions for all activities and experiments within the course.
Videos created by The Good and the Beautiful further explore the topics and experiments in the Marine Biology unit. Have a device available capable of playing videos from goodandbeautiful.com/sciencevideos.
