I bought this for my son and he loved it! It’s a fun story and great for those picky eaters. Great for newer readers!
My 6 year old son loved this book!! Such a great story with a valuable lesson- just the kind of books I want him reading.
Reminded me of my own picky eater. Great story showing the pros and cons of picky eating. Love the Silver Tales series teaching perfect lessons in a great story and beautiful illustrations.
The true meaning of the word persnickety is obscured and it portrays the adults and less than model. Also several characters speak in a short of ‘peasant-speech’ without proper grammar. This is too young to model that kind of speech.
I have loved every single other book I have purchased but this one is just not worth putting in the category of Good and Beautiful.
My seven-year-old is a pretty great eater and got such a kick out of this story because Peter, well, isn’t. We loved seeing Peter save the day by facing his fears.
Prince Peter only like eating three things, even though the palace cook tries her best to tempt him with delicious alternatives. When the people of the kingdom fall ill, Peter’s pickiness seems like a good thing, but in the end he learns that he can only save the day if he is willing to face his fears.
Parents and children alike will enjoy this story, full of beautiful illustrations, as they learn that sometimes it’s good to step outside of their comfort zones.
